Kennedy Valve celebrates Earth Day with annual trail clean up

Every year for at least the last 20 years, Kennedy Valve has celebrated Earth Day by cleaning up the Lackawanna Rail Trail. The 15-foot-wide trail follows the path of the former Lackawanna Railroad and meanders behind the facility along Newtown Creek.

Many of Kennedy Valve's team members make this a tradition with their families and come year after year. This year, our annual veteran volunteers, including Lauire Potter (10 years), Jason Hoyt (8 years), and Bill Beschler (5 years), were joined by newer team members, including Elizabeth Hickox (1 year), Cherise Haase (2 years), Patrick Divens (2 years), Tracy Barchet (1), Tyler Predix (1), and their families.

A huge thank you goes out to all those who participated!
