McWane Ductile – New Jersey sponsors the Farmers Market held in downtown Phillipsburg every Sunday. To kick off the season, they participated in the Earth Day Festival, explaining the facility's recycling process. They also had a fun activity for attendees, including a plant and potting station where attendees could bring home a new plant in a recycled container. The potting station even included donated coffee grounds from the local coffee shop, Salvaged Sip!
We are not sure if the adults or the children enjoyed themselves more! Bringing fresh local food and vegetables to the downtown area through the Farmers Market fills a critical gap for many residents who can’t get to the grocery store regularly.
